52 Up North Weekends began its story in 2008 when Lori opened the store in Petoskey, Michigan. She had a goal to create a new kind of shopping experience. Rather than sticking to the basic women’s clothing shop she added in gifts, accessories, art and more. 

In 2014 Lori’s daughter graduated MSU with a degree in biochemistry but wanted to find work close to home. She ended up working at the store for a summer and has never left! Now together they have the best time finding new and uncommon goods while meeting so many great customers. 

Many people are surprised to find out that our store is not a “franchise.” These two women do all the work for this store with the help and support of their wonderful staff! Thank you for your continued support throughout the years.
